Compliance and Corporate Conduct

When Fortress sources materials, consumables, and specialist equipment required by our clients in the health, defence, medical, industrial and manufacturing sectors, we implement procurement activities based on appropriate compliance at the destination; and of course, of appropriate quality and price points. Our basic approach to procurement on behalf of our clients is as follows:

1. We select suppliers in a fair and honest manner, based on their capabilities and quality of their products and attention to ethical and environmental considerations; and
2. We promote procurement activities that incorporate the concepts of building long-term relationships, based on Fortress’ Charter of Corporate Conduct.

Based on the basic approach above, Fortress promotes a procurement programme focused on the following six considerations:

1. Selecting suppliers in a fair, honest, and transparent manner;
2. Providing equal opportunities to all prospective suppliers, selecting suppliers through fair evaluation, and working toward achieving mutual growth and performance for our clients, Fortress, and its suppliers;
3. Compliance with laws, regulations, and societal norms in the countries of origin and destination;
4. Environmental and ethical considerations, including sourcing of raw materials, respect for workers, and consideration for maintaining a neutral or low environmental footprint;
5. Appropriate management and strict protection of information and privacy of our clients, employees, agents, advisors, and suppliers; and
6. The pursuit of appropriate levels of quality and costs; and ensuring that the stable procurement of materials is efficient and compliant.
